Succulents are plants with fleshy parts such as leaves, stems or roots, where they store water. They have adapted to various climates, many of them harsh like deserts, which gives us a seemingly endless variety to choose from, each with distinctive looks and needs.
"Cacti" are actually a sub-set of succulents. Other commonly known succulents are agave and aloe.
Succulents prefer high light conditions---many prefer direct southern sun, although a few will not thrive if the sun is too hot. During summer months (indoors or outdoors) they need to be watered well, but allowed to dry fully between watering. In the winter (indoors) watering once a month should be sufficient, again allowing the soil to dry out completely between watering.
We have an ever-changing collection of succulents for sale, and can often special order something if it is not in stock.
