Bird's Nest Fern asplenium nidus in 8 inch pot

Birdsnest Fern is a plant that defies our notion of what a fern looks like. ‚   Instead of feather fronds, you have wide wavy leaves arching up in dramatic fashion--especially as it grows into its larger forms

It also makes an excellent low light houseplant, although it prefers medium indirect light to thrive.

In nature is it epiphytic, meaning is grows on other things, similar to staghorn ferns. ‚   It also tolerates soil that dries out a little although it prefers consistently moist (not wet) soil.

It also doesn't require the same amount of high humidity that other ferns usually do to thrive.
