Moss Amigos moss balls are sourced directly from the United States. They are USDA inspected and cleared. (The method and process of cultivation is a Trade Secret).
Once Moss Amigos receives them in their California facility, they go through a second round of inspection and are placed into holding chambers with very high levels of CO2. This encourages further development of the moss balls' photosynthesis capacity and eliminates unwanted animalia that the USDA may have missed.
Moss Amigos goes above and beyond the USDA and big box stores in order to help protect the environment.
Before they are sealed for transport to us, they are inspected a third time.
