Aloe vera is an easy, attractive succulent that makes a great houseplant.

The juice from their leaves can be used to relieve pain from scrapes and burns when applied to the skin.

Green fleshy leaves fan out from the plant's center, and have tiny "teeth."

The aloe vera thrives in bright, indirect light.  It does not like direct sun, which dries out the plant and turns the leaves yellow.
