WHO WE ARE
A variety of the capsicum chinense species, which is part of the bonnet family of peppers.
Resembles the habanero and Scotch Bonnet, but with more heat.
It competes with Carolina Reaper as one of the hottest peppers out there on the Scoville scale (individual peppers' ratings can vary depending upon growing conditions and such).
The average rating of Trinidad Scorpion is 1,200,000 Scoville Heat Units. For comparison, the jalapeno pepper rates in the range of 2,500 to 8,000 Scoville Heat Units.
